How to go for Microsoft Certification in Data Engineering
Hi There! Hope you are safe and doing fine!!
So, for my first blog(of this kind), I was searching for topics(within myself)!! After going through, some topics I thought why not share my knowledge about a Cloud Certification I recently did..i.e. Microsoft Certified Data Engineer Associate via the path of DP200/DP201 exams.
So, first of all why you'd go with this one?
a. You already are working in a similar role and want to get certified.
b. You want to get in this type of role in your career with emerging tech viz Cloud, DataAnalytics (part of my reason for appearing for this one).
Now, how to move forward in preparation???
Microsoft has good amount of documentation available for this type of learning based certifications.(docs.microsoft.com) From there, you can learn at any time with sand-boxed environments to experiment on for self paced path. Else, you can go for Instructor led training which is a paid service(of course!).
Anyway, there is ample amount of information/content available for preparation. What I did was, I enrolled in Udemy courses for this certifications and also went through practice tests which helped me a lot in tackling the exam.
In beginning, it felt a lot to digest, but being from Data Analysis background, slowly everything started making sense. You have Data Lake, Cosmos DB and Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks to store large amount of data and then process it according to your needs.
The Courses are designed in such a way that you'll feel very comfortable once you start and gain that pace in learning. Wishing you All The Best!!!
